Summer is here and I couldn’t be more excited to explore New York and see what else it has to offer other than the Big Apple! To my surprise, New York has numerous hidden gems. This is the perfect time to explore local areas, especially since COVID-19 changed a lot of plans for most of us.
Green Lake is a National Park located in Onondaga County, New York (Upstate New York). If you live in New York and are looking for traveling plans this summer, I highly suggest checking out this beautiful park! I went for a day trip and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The park also contains different trails you can walk and stop to take pictures or sit and enjoy the view. It wasn’t too crowded when I went.
As I was walking the trail, I stopped occasionally to just enjoy the view and breeze. I was completely shocked at how beautiful this National Park was. In Fact, it was so clean and well maintained that it is definitely safe to swim in!
As I updated my Instagram page, I received several DM’s about my post and the exact location of where it was and people were shocked that this was in New York!
This is a perfect day trip for families, friends, couples, or even solo travel!
