If you are in NYC and are looking for affordable eats here are some options:
- Naya
So when were you guys going to tell me about this gem? I have been to NYC numerous times and have never seen nor heard of this place. I ordered the Naya Bowl with Chicken Shawarma and a bunch of options (Cucumbers, hummus, olives, feta cheese, etc)! For a wholesome meal, you cannot beat it! I will suggest ordering in advanced. I ordered via mobile app while at Joe and the Juice and it was a 30 min wait.
2. Krispy Kreme
Their location in TimeSquare is there flagship store! This is the ONLY Krispy Kreme location that offers the special “Big Apple” Donut. When you order this donut, it is packaged in a Green box! It was really good. Price: $11. FYI, when you order this, the store sings!
3. Joe And The Juice
I first tried Joe And The Juice in Chicago. I have been obsessed since! My favorite beverage is the Blue Magic! They offer a variety of pressed juices, shots, and smoothies! I always opt for smoothies. Not only does this drink give me a lot of energy, but I do not feel weighted down after consumption. I am able to walk for miles without feeling hungry.
4. Magnolia Bakery
A must try if you have not not! Known for their world re-known banana pudding, this place never disappoints! I ordered a mini banana pudding to go and it was around $5. Even the mini was definitely shareable! I always stop by Magnolia when visiting NYC.
5. Tous les Jours
While waiting for Jongro to open, I decided to check this bakery out. I got some sort of sweet treat (Don’t recall the name) but it was decent. Price: $5
6. Jongro Rice Hotdog
This was my favorite stop! I am a big fan of Korean hotdogs and this place has been on my radar for quite some time. I went on a Monday and walked in with no wait. Ordered the K Dog with Sugar, cheese, dog, and my order was ready in about ten minutes. Price: $6
