Day two, we decided to explore Old San Juan. We visited Calle de la Fortaleza street, which is where the Paseo de Sombrillas is located. It was absolutely beautiful. It was very scenic and definitely some where I recommend checking out! It is near a lot of busy streets so we got food afterwards. Old San Juan had a very rustic, historic feel to it and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. I wish I spent more time in Old San Juan. Old San Juan actually has a lot of modern retailers and restaurants (Mcdonalds, Wendys, Guess, etc). Be careful walking because the sidewalks are so narrow! We ate a local restaurant that offered both Mexican and Puerto Rican food
This is a photo that was taken in Old San Juan down a random street. As you can see, it looks very historic compared to other parts of San Juan, which makes it a unique experience. Even If you are only visiting Puerto Rico for three or four days, I would recommend doing a half day trip or full day, if you have the time.
This was my first meal in Puerto Rico! I ordered nachos and they were really good!S
